I'm a graduate

As of last night, I am officially a graduate of Bed, Bath, & Beyond University. Yes, there really is such a thing as BBBU. They even make you take classes from the "University". Last night was my last night. It's very hard to believe. It hasn't really sunk in that there is no more BBB, no more customers, no more cash office, and no more working weekends. I should be triumphant, but a part of me is sad. Don't get me wrong, I am ready to move on, but also sad to go. It was a bittersweet evening followed by a really fun party at Bennigans. That place has been such a part of my life for going on four years. I think back to when I got hired. I expected to work just for the first summer and then leave. Now three years and nine months later I finally leaving. I can't believe I finally did it!! I think I stayed for so long because of the people I worked with. They became my work family. It was touching to see how many people showed up at Bennigans both past and present. It's a nice feeling knowing you made some sort of impact even if it is "just retail". I will miss my co-workers a lot but I know I won't miss being treated like crap by the customers. I got so tired of customer's and their petty complaints. There are bigger problems in the world. It's done and now it's time to move on to bigger and better things.

Shampoo is le peu

I am sitting here in my towel kind of angry but laughing at the same time. I got a note yesterday saying my water would be turned off from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday (today). Yes, this is annoying, but it happens a lot so I just rolled my eyes and made a mental note of it. I decided to wait until afternoon to take my shower. I got all lathered up with soap and put shampoo in my hair and they turn the water off!!!! It was around 1 p.m. when I started my shower so it should not be off. So now I have soap all over me and shampoo in my hair and no water to rinse with!! Yuck. It feels quite gross. I think I may dump the water from the Brita pitcher over my head because that is the only water I can find. So it is actually kind of funny but I still want to move!!

If I wanted 70 degree weather in January, I would move to Georgia

Call me crazy but it shouldn't be so warm in January. Lynette reminded me that we had warm weather in January last year. True, but we had cold weather too. It felt like winter at least. Now it feels like Spring. Spring is so much more rewarding after a long, cold winter. Tonight at 11:30 I stopped to get gas and I wasn't even cold How absurd. I even had my windows open in my car because that thing is an oven on wheels. It's just not right. Like I said, if I wanted this kind of weather I would move to Georgia. I am not opposed to moving to Georgia. It actually really appeals to me. However, if I ever decide to move South it won't be for the weather but for other more appealing reasons :). Where's the snow? We have had nada. Barely even flurries. Hopefully we get some at some point or I will be sad :(. It was nice sitting on the balcony chilling with Lynette and Becca today. It was a gorgeous day.....it just happened 3 months too early.
